Week at a Glance

Last week my lucky husband took a week off work and went on a

 "multipurpose amphibious assault ship"

the  USS Bataan
 for 2 nights with my Nephew.

After a 6 year stint in the Navy Scott is once again a civilian.............
Where the real fun came in is that Scott was able to have 2 friends/family members, stay two nights with him aboard the ship.
They call it a "Tiger Cruise"  you can read more about it here. My hubs jumped at the chance when he was invited.

 (In my female head I equate it to Gloria herself inviting me to come stay 2 nights with her at the "Vanderbilt Mansion" ummmm YES Thank You, I'll be right there!)

I'm sure you all have heard the old adage "While the cats a way the mice will play" Well I quickly got on the phone and scheduled a sleep over with my sister and BFF for Saturday night. We had a great time
 sitting around relaxing in our PJ'S  sipping Margaritas, eating, Mexican food and
discussing governmental affairs. OK maybe we weren't discussing Governmental affairs but we sure did get a lot of problems solved. Seriously Mr O'Bama give me a call if you would like to have us at the next summit, we are a wealth of knowledge.

Sorry I don't have any pictures of the sleepover. (at least none that I'm willing to share. Middle aged women in PJ's drinking..... not so cute.)

The rest of the week I spent doing what I call "playing house".

Organizing kitchen cabinets, organizing closets, spray painting lamps, 

(In its former life it was bright BRASS, now oil rubbed bronze.)

and decorating for Valentines day.

 Just plain ol' fun.

I realize it might not sound like fun to some but I love it, its like I have been given this giant doll house and its mine to play with. The problem is I some times forget I share this doll house with 2 men who don't always understand my need for the Salt and Pepper shakers to match the dishes, no matter how fast the salt pours out.
