It is Finished!

Well after 3 weeks

45 coats of paint and primer,

much measuring, sawing, shopping and

 Mod Podging,

Our DREAM Kitchen is finished.

I came across this in July when I was first introduced to PINTREST

and knew I had to make one for my little Granddaughter.

I had my eyes wide open at every garage sale, thrift store, and Craigs list

 looking for the perfect entertainment center.

It had to be the right height the right setup (stove, refrigerator, pantry)

and of course the right price.

And sure enough one cold January night

my sis and I walked into our favorite resale store and....

(Cue the Angels singing)

there it was! in all its glory!

I snapped a picture and went home to show Grandpa.

 I knew I needed him on board to help with 

 some of the trickier cuts and to make the refrigerator door.

He didn't hesitate when I told him who I wanted to make it for.

I'm so happy with the way it turned out, I cant stand it!

Its just to cute.

The sink (stainless steel mixing bowl) the canisters, pot, salt and pepper shaker, soap dispenser, and cook top (cooling rack for cookies) all came from the thrift store.

I made the felt pasta following these directions.

I picked the microwave up at a garage sale this summer for $2

 it lights up, spins and beeps when your food is ready.

 It was the perfect addition.

 Pizza anyone?

 The most fun was accessorizing it.

I tried to add her favorite things Pancakes, Pasta, Pizza.

Of course I also stocked the refrigerator

 with fresh fruits and vegetables.

 I also wanted to add "real" dishes and utensil's just like Moms

so that it would have the element of being a "real" kitchen.

I love IT!

and I think she does too.

Of course you could go to Toys R Us and buy this for $75 BUT.......

you would never get a full pizza and a loaf of bread in that oven.

Not to mention the lack of counter space.
