The End

Well everyone has gone home now and its just me and Pokie,
sitting here watching Americas got talent, blogging,
munching on chips and drinking a cold one.

I've been here at Yogi for 10 days now,
I was the first one to get here and I'm the last one to leave.
But its still not enough for me.....it's never enough.

I could live here at Yogi.

I don't want to go back to the real world
where there is structure and routine.
Not to mention laundry and dishes and
appointments that need to be kept.

I like getting up when I want
and going to bed when I want
and eating what I want.

I like using golf carts as your only means of transportation.

I like it that my toughest decision is whether to have
a beer or another Diet Pepsi Vanilla.

But like all good things it has to come to an end and
tomorrow morning John will come back for me
and Ill return to the real world once again!

Planking?

From Wikipedia:
Planking or the lying down game is an activity consisting of lying face down in an unusual or incongruous location. The hands must touch the sides of the body and having a photograph of the participant taken and posted on the Internet is an integral part of the game.

Players compete to find the most unusual and original location in which to play.

I just call it a heck of a lot of fun.
Last week I saw a news piece about people "Planking" but I didn't think much of it till my young Nieces started posting these pictures on Facebook.

and the next thing you know I'm doing this

then my much older sister had to go and trump me by doing this!

and before you know it were  "Planking" all over the place.

The metered "Plank"

The explosive "Plank"

The triple "Plank"

The tippy toe "Plank"

The hand held "Plank"

The Pepsi challenge "Plank"

The I'm stumped where to "Plank" "Plank"

I even had my Grand baby "Planking."

 The baby girl "Plank"

If you haven't given this a try please do,
grab a loved one and go "Planking"
its silly, its fun and its addicting.

A Quickie

Yogi Beach 2011

I want a picture like this of me and my Grand baby.

Well said Emma!
This is exactly how I feel at Yogi's beach

Life guard on duty.

Mini golf baby style.

An afternoon at the park.

Not much I can say about this one.

There's one picture I haven't been able to capture,
Its when I tuck my Grand baby in next to me on the Golf Cart and say
"Want Grandma to take you for a ride?"
and she leans her head all the way back so she can look up
at me and then smiles her biggest smile!
"I'm telling you it gets me every time."

I'll be back with more later.

Cell Phone Pictures

One of the blogs I follow is running a contest
where you send in your favorite picture taken from your Cell Phone.

So I started going thru my cell phone
looking for a winner!

These are some I came across maybe not winners
but fun to look at none the less.

I saw this for sale at a garage sale shortly AFTER I wrote this post

Just for the record I was not driving when I took this picture.

OMG..... I found this sign at Farm and Fleet, it still makes me laugh.
a real Laugh Out Loud not the lol kind
"for those butt busting activities"
Really?

Shelving in the garage of a house I was showing.
Obviously the previous owner had a unique way
of rating his beer.

I found it odd.

I wonder who told her she looked good in those pants?

"I'll have a medium vanilla cone dipped in Chocolate please."

Which one do you think I should submit?

Botanical gardens

No not really, remember how on the fourth I spent the day with my brother and sister in law in their beautiful pool . Well while others were swimming/sunning/eating I took my camera and went for a walk around their yard, 5 acres of amazing gardens.

hummmmm, I'm feeling calmer already.

Leading from the drive way to the pool.
Leading to the pond
 (I know!..... gorgeous

The tree  house they built years ago for their daughter.

View as you enter the drive.

Where all the action was going on.

For inquiring minds.
I did ask my Sister in law if she maintained all this herself.
She said no they had someone mow the grass and trim the shrubs.

But this yard is so much more then grass and shrubs.

I have grass and shrubs.

They have their own private paradise.

She does everything else.

I say to  her "aren't you tired"
she said "YEAH", but she loves it!

The weeding, the planting, the watering, the deadheading, the fertilizing, the transplanting,
the trimming, then more weeding, watering, deadheading, transplanting, trimming, fertilizing.

She said "she loves going to bed at night
totally exhausted from the day."
(ya think?)

You knew I would find a way to get a picture of her in.
(I'm lovin this picture, my boy with his girl)

Somebody had to

On Sunday John and Steven
 helped Neal and Jen move!
And it was HOT

I on the other hand took the baby and went swimming....
I mean somebody had to do it, RIGHT?
It would have been way to hard to move
with a 16 month old baby, RIGHT?
And who better then me to do it, RIGHT?

OK glad we got that all straightened out.

I was so happy to be swimming instead of toten' boxes

I broke out in song!

I loved spending the day with my sisters family/my family.

(The goggles?......it's a "Nelson" thing)

Aren't they cute, same curly blond hair.

"Oh Sean wheres the salt?"

(Lets just say there was some water in the garage floor,
and you where afraid one of the kids would slip and fall,
you would use table salt to clean it up.... RIGHT?)

"Don't worry, I can still cook a mean burger even after a few drinks."

Just about the time everybody's feet
were starting to look like this.

It was time to go home.

I arrived home shortly after the last box was taken off the truck,
phew.....I timed that just right.
