Yes these really are my feet.
We all started out so Happy and Clean!
Ready for the big challenge.
And they were right it was a Crazy Frickin' race.
They had it going all day long with "waves" of hundreds of people running at a time.
There was over 7,000 people doing the race that day, you do the math....
and no it wasn't for charity it was for Profit!
And off we all went.
Some of us dressed better then others.
It started out with a leisurely 5k run on grass and quickly turned in to a muddy mess,
There were 12 obstacles from junk cars in the path that we had to jump/climb over to steep muddy hills,
planks over gulley's, large rolls of hay we had to climb over
cargo nets 15 feet high we had to go up and over.
4' walls we had to hurdle/straddle and climb over
fire to jump over (3 times)
finishing with a knee deep muddy pond stretched with barb wire, that you had to crawl under.
And yes we all paid $75.00 dollars a piece to do this.
Oh but the rewards were so worth it?
we got these "nifty" warrior helmets and medals
oooh aaah
I have to admit it was fun to be there with my son.
They requested that you leave your muddy shoes "at the door"
they claim to clean them up and donate them
to some poor 3rd world country.
Now I'm thinkn' you have to need shoes pretty bad to want any of these.
On the way out they had a fire hose spraying off the mud if you wanted.
Personally I chose to wear my mud home proudly!!
(Steven thanks for watching my back....even though it turned out
when they said this race wasn't for the average athlete "they weren't talking about me")
Its a Good Life
