Big Brother is watching

I was out showing homes the other day!
(yes homes are still selling)

I arrived at the house a little early and since it was vacant I went on in
and started turning on all the lights, and opening curtains
(yes they taught us this in Realtor school)

When I get to the main bath upstairs I notice this

How cute is that?
A custom toliet seat for "Tiny Hineys"

Well of course Grandmas mind immediately goes to Cadence
and how this could save her from being traumatized when she falls in the toliet!

So as any good Grandma would do I snap a picture of it with my cell phone
so that I can do search on line.

WELL.... when I get home I notice that my "DROID" (insert deep male voice)

Has not only taken the picure but if I hit the menu button then go to  details button
(this is the first time I noticed this button)
It not only tells me the date and time I took the picture but the location!
yup it has the address of the house I was showing too.

My first thought was wow COOL
then I think wow where ever DROID and I are a satellite knows.

hmmmmmmm not quite sure what I think about that.

Just so you know Mr President I know your watching me!

and If you want to get one of these cute little toliet seats for Malia or Sasha
you can get them at

Yesterday Grandma came to stay with me while Mom took Autumn to the Vet!
The Dr said Autumn had a ruptured Anal Sack    EWWWWW Gross!

Now, I may be just a little girl, but even I know that can't be good!

Feel better Autumn I need you at home watching my back.

so Grandma held me and we watched a little TV together.
Mom says to much TV isn't good for me. But.......

A little "Tori and Dean a love story" never hurt anyone.
(ahhh to have a mega rich Daddy would be fun.)

Then Grandma read me a book.

Then we both needed a little nap....Grandma said she didn't sleep but I'm not so sure.

Yikes I do hate my car seat but both Grandma and Mom say I have to use it.
sooooo ....."Whatever"

Then just us girls went out to eat dinner, at Chillis.. I wasn't that hungry
so I just sat and enjoyed the company.

Its a Good Life!

Someone you should know!

Ok here it goes!
 I have a Client/Acquaintance/Friend I have known for about 10 years.
I sold his home for him when he and his wife decided New Lenox was to cold in the winters and
they wanted to head south.

At the time I was running about 30 miles a week, which I considered to be alot.
When I first met him we "bonded' right away he was/is an avid biker!
He tried to get me to give up my running and start biking claiming that it would be much easier
on my body and I could log more miles each week.
We both enjoyed sparring back and forth over which sport was best.

At the time he was biking approximately 70-75 miles per day.....yes I said per day
6 -7 days a week. WOW he was about 58 years old at the time.

I SOLD their home and they bought a condo down south and they were gone.

I heard back from them about 2 years later they wanted to buy a small condo in Mokena to stay in during the summer. We weren't able to find one that summer and they went back south before the cold weather set in.

The next summer I heard back from them and they still wanted to buy a place.
But this time the requirements were a little different they needed something with out stairs.
Bill had CANCER.....grrrrr (I hate that word)

He fought the good fight and was able to get back on his bike in a few months time.
Still logging as many miles as possible. 70 or more miles a day!
I came across him again on face book about a year ago where he has been documenting his life
the good (biking) and the bad (cancer)

Todays entry on facebook was very poignant
and since you probably are not his friend on FB
I have copied and pasted it below.

"On July 15, 2009, the Oncologist at Northwestern Hospital Chicago, IL informed me that if I failed to start cancer treatment soon, I would expire in 9 months. That date would be April 15, 2010.

After consulting my oncologists, the consensus was that there was no good reason to start cancer treatment at that time. Other than it would take away quality time from me. So, I decided I would plan an Expiration Party, to take place on April 15, 2010. Complete with casket so I could greet everyone from the casket, and I would put on a program, followed by food and fun.

Christmas brought the cancer. In January I was informed that the time had come. I needed to start an aggressive fight against the Multiple Myeloma. I canceled my Expiration Party for fear it would be the real thing. After all, I was informed that April 15 would be the end of the line for me. The first month of treatment went well. I could just about carry on my normal lifestyle with very few interruptions. Then it happened. The cancer and the drugs took my breath away. All my mussels in my body were destroyed. I couldn't walk 20 steps without having to stop and sit down and catch my breath because to continue on would mean passing out ( think I had only passed out once). Besides, I couldn't see either. I would sit down, rest, then move on again.

Chemotherapy was canceled. Besides, the blood test results indicated that the cancer was not affected."

I meet with my Oncologist on Monday. We will learn then what he has in mind for me. How are we going to continue this battle.

I have two goals for April 15 (Yes, my taxes are paid). One is to wake up on April 16, e-mail all my friends and say, "I AM STILL HERE!!!!" The other is to bike one mile on April 15. That goal may be unobtainable, but yet, it is my goal.

E (Expiration Day), minus 6 and counting."

Let's all pray Bill gets on that bike April 15th

Whats up with that?

Ive been running on the old plank trail for about 10 years now.

I trained for 5 of my last marathons on this trail its a beautiful trail.

I love my trail.
I've posted about this trail many times before.

I know where every porta potty is,
I know where the safe places are to hide and pee if your
not near a port a  potty (please dont judge.)
Mentally as I run along I know
OK around this corner is the 5 mile marker
or up this hill and over and I'm at the 10 mile marker,
from mile marker 6 to 7 I'm going to pick up the pace.
At the big oak tree is the turn around point.
I can judge how well my training is going by the time between mile markers!

Its a very comforting feeling to know how far, how fast, how long!

We runners can become quite "anal" about logging our distance, speed, conditions
 when training for races.

Another reason why I liked doing my miles on the trail.
They have every mile marked with mile posts!

WELL

I'm out running the other day when, "what the heck?"
they have moved a mile marker form here

(note where they filled in the hole where they had to dig up the post)

to all the way down here

yeah thats right you can't even see where they moved it to
its about 150 to 200 yards further down to your right!

SERIOUSLY?
who in their infinite wisdom
decided that mile was marked wrong?

So are you telling me for the past 10 years all my running times are lies?
All the running logs I have saved over the years are lies?

No wonder I never was able to quailfy for the Olympics
it was all lies!

I'm Just Saying!
