Unto us a child is born!

Tristen Dean Robinson
7lbs 13oz
20" long
After being in the hospital in labor since last night at about 9pm baby Robinson was born at
appproximately 12:30 this afternoon! Both baby and Mom are doing fabulous. These pictures were taken at about 2:30 today, as you can see my feet got me there ASAP!! Heather was such a good sport (or the drugs were damn good) but she allowed all of us to join her in the birthing suite shortly after delivery. I even got to hold him for a short time, of course I had Grandma, Jenny, Kathy, Emily, Randy and Rodney tapping their feet waiting for my turn to be up. Poor little guy he was perfect while all his Aunts and Grandma passed him around. How lucky he is to be so Loved.
Two tiny feet That wave in the air
Two tiny hands That tug at your hair
Cute bottom for patting Adorable face
A bundle of joy To love and embrace !

yogi "BEAR BELLY"

OK the party is over! For those of you who don't know yogi BEAR BELLY is very similar to a BEER BELLY but it consists of : hot dogs, homemade ice cream, cheese sticks at the boo boo shop, candy, cookies, hamburgers and anything else that looked tasty to me.
I braved the scale this morning and it wasn't pretty! I need to get tuff, so I bought some "FIBER 1 BARS" I saw Jenny eating these all week, and shes skinny soooo .......

Happy Campers!

What an awesome 8 days we had. Who would ever believe you could go such a short distance and feel like your a million miles away! During the course of the week there were 10 of us coming and going, except for John we were all girls. Poor John he got called in to work and had to leave for a few days. BUT we continued on with the Swimming, Eating, Campfire building, golf cart riding, kite flying and water sliding, did I mention the Eating? It was also Christmas in July at the campground so a lot of people decorated their campsites. Which made for a festive atmosphere........... ONLY 364 MORE DAYS TILL YOGI

BRRRRRRRRRR

Dear Mr Al Gore,
Please help! I woke up this morning to Jim Ramsey (local weatherman) saying its going to be unseasonably cold this weekend. More like October weather then July. Whats up with that? I'm dreaming of a full week at YOGI BEAR with swimming and sunning! On Monday night of this week we broke a record with the low that evening being recorded at 54 degrees in Joliet .....breaking the 55 degrees set in 2005. Right now the thermometer is only reading 64 degrees, and I'm thinking it might be to cold to run in shorts this morning. So please Mr Gore would you send some of that global warming our way?..... Just Asking!
Respectfully Yours,
Freezing in New Lenox

Sunday Smiles

In the July issue of O magazine Oprahs editors had given her a camera and had her capture some pics of a lazy summer day at her home in California. Which led me to also take some pictures of what makes me smile at home on a Sunday. ENJOY

Pati's Place

OK I see this turtle high tail'n it across the yard and we start wondering if its the same one we saw 3 weeks ago? So my husband (being the thinker he is) decides to mark the turtle and name her . Her name is Pati ( I think he might of spelt it differently if her shell had of been longer or his letters smaller) but now the lucky girl has the same polish on as I do. The plan is to track her, much like the "Grissly Man Timothy Treadwell" tracked the bears! After further investigation we find she has laid a nest of eggs again. She had laid a nest full of eggs the morning of the grading of the dirt for the grass. One of the young laborers carefully took all 18 eggs she had laid placed them in a bucket with some dirt and took them home to try and hatch them out, he said he has the equipment to do this because he once raised lizards (whatever). This time we have decided to leave them alone to see what happens. She has probably been coming here to nest for years. So the real question is did we build our nest in Pati's yard or did she build hers in ours?
******UPDATE*****
We thought we already had a Pati sighting but its actually a different turtle....so we painted her too.

Barefoot in the Grass

OK I know I have ugly feet...get over it...after all this blog is called "footnotes" enough about that, how about that grass? After 9 mos of dirt we have grass! The pictures are a little deceiving ( what do they say objects in camera may appear thicker then they are.) But we're happy and from the street it actually looks like a LAWN. Planted it on June 27 and the bottom pic was taken July 6 (yes only 9 days later) all I had to do was plant the seed(OK I didn't actually plant the seed, but I did pay the guy to do it) and God provided the cool temps, rain, and sunshine...hmmm maybe that's a metaphor for life...just plant the seed and let God do the rest!

Off and Running

"Thought that might be a good title for my first post"
Today started off great on the trail by 7:15 weather was absolutely perfect no wind , mild temps and sunshine, who could ask for more. Hope the rest of the day proves to be as nice! How lucky am I to have a trail like this running right past my house ?As you can see from the last picture the beavers are back, dam its amazing how fast they can throw one of those things together.
